The walls around me blurred as I sat up in bed. When it cleared, I realized I was in a hospital. Not just any hospital, but a mental hospital. I was in one of those padded rooms. Why on Earth was I sent here? What happened last night? What happened over the course of this last week? Everything seems like a massive blank spot. After hours of silence I started to remember a month and a half ago, having a conversation with my uncle Isaac.

"Quinn, you need to stop with these paintings of yours. They freak people out." He had shouted at me. He held up one of my favorite paintings. It was of a couple sitting for a picnic, but a man was standing in the background taking photos. "I could see the couple, that's normal and cute. But the man in the suit? Why?" He screamed.

"I paint what I see, uncle." I had frowned. It was true. I had been sketching at the park one afternoon and witnessed the exact scene. Only one thing was changed. I changed the man in the background to taking pictures instead of just staring hungrily at the couple. "I saw everything in that photo while I was at the park the other afternoon. Don't you remember? I told you what I saw when I got home, you told me to stop being silly." I cried out. I could never be calm when my uncle was in one of his moods. It was either get emotional, or get hurt.

"You said no such thing, girl. Stop your lies." He shouted. "You never told me of this couple. Nor this painting." He started to calm down, but not much. His anger was still through the roof.

"I did, uncle, I promise! I told you that I had seen a couple and a man at the park. I told you I sketched it at the park and was going to paint it up in my room." I protested. He frowned. "Uncle." I sighed. "May I go to the park? I would like to see if I can find a new subject today." My voice came out softly, and it was supposed to be louder. He frowned at me, but allowed me to leave. I went upstairs to grab my sketchpad and pencil before running to the park. I sat under my favorite tree and watched the people. There was another couple, but this one seemed to be fighting. I slowly stood up and went to a closer tree. They were screaming at each other. The man was accusing his wife of having an affair. I grabbed my sketchbook and began to draw the scene unfolding in front of me. After about twenty some minutes of sketching, I went to tell someone about the fighting couple. I told a nearby police officer, who followed me to the area where they were. I could see the couple clear as day, but the officer denied it.

"Miss, there's no one there. What are you pulling?" He seemed annoyed. I showed him my sketch. "That's the area, alright. But there's no couple." He groaned. I frowned, looking directly at the couple. Why couldn't he see them?! The fight seemed to go on forever, but no one looked at them. No one seemed to notice them. I gave up on the officer and went to break up the fight myself.

"Stop, stop this madness." I screamed, standing directly between them. The officer stood in my previous spot by the three with a frown on his face. The fighting continued, but it got louder. "Stop! There is no reason to be screaming at each other in the middle of a park!" I screamed once more. The couple seemed to not even notice my existence. The officer stormed up to me and glared.

"Miss, come with me please. We're taking you home." He frowned. I stopped trying to help, confused beyond belief. When I didn't follow, he grabbed my arm and forced me to follow him. When we arrived at my uncles house, the officer explained the situation. My uncle's neck got very red with anger. It was about six hours later when I fell asleep up in my room. I woke up in this hospital room. I could hear the nurses in the hallway talking about me.

"She sees and hears things. Extreme case of Schizophrenia, the doctors say." One spoke. "Killed her parents and claimed her older brother was her uncle." I screamed loudly, causing doctors and nurses to come into the room. I was given a shot and the room began to die out once more causing the voices to stop.
